We are proud to partner with organizations that make a difference in our greater community. From fundraising support to donation drives, our goal is to model kindness, generosity, and community spirit for our students.
This April, CCSD 46 once again came together to support the Avon Township Food Pantry, reminding us that need does not know a season.
After the incredible response to the fall food drive, our Mustangs stepped up again with the same generous spirit. Students, families, and staff donated over 1,000 food and household essentials as they did in November, helping keep pantry shelves stocked for local families.
Meadowview’s continued generosity once again amazed the Avon Township team and showed what can happen when our school community rallies around a shared purpose.
Thank you to everyone who donated, collected, counted, organized, and helped make this effort possible, especially our own Student Council. Your kindness makes a meaningful difference for neighbors right here in our community.
On November 1, 2025, the Township shared that its shelves were completely empty. In true Grayslake spirit, the community rallied. Local businesses, families, and organizations stepped up and fully restocked the pantry within three days, allowing it to reopen and even extend hours to meet the need.
To help sustain that momentum, CCSD 46 and the Community Engagement Committee organized a districtwide collection. Across our schools, students and staff donated hundreds of items to keep the pantry stocked.
Here at Meadowview, the Student Council collected, counted, and delivered the donations on November 21, contributing more than 1,500 food and household essentials.
Thanks to this generosity, more than 200 local families are able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal this year — a truly inspiring reminder that ongoing support makes a meaningful difference.
This fall marked our first year partnering with Avon Township to support their annual Costume Drive, helping provide Halloween costumes to children in need throughout our community.
By incorporating the drive into Fall Fest, Meadowview families donated dozens of costumes — spreading joy and imagination to kids across the area.

Your suggestions help us find new ways to support our community — and give our Mustangs real opportunities to practice R.I.S.E. values in action:
Respect for others,
Integrity in serving our neighbors,
Safety in meeting essential needs, and
Excellence in showing up for our community.
Together, we can inspire students to see how small acts of service lead to big impact — at Meadowview and beyond.
